PSA! They are Juggling "Clubs", not "Pins".

Any juggler knows this, and it is like nails on a chalkboard to hear a non-juggler call them "Pins" (Though many jugglers are too polite to correct you).

I know they look similar, but did you know that they didn't use to? Club juggling didn't really exist before the late 1800's, and its design was taken from solid wood clubs that were used as exercise equipment.
While juggling clubs have slightly changed over time, Bowling pins originally looked VERY different.

Over time, their designs began to converge. While Juggling clubs generally got sleeker, Bowling Pins did the opposite.
So do your local clown a favor and call clubs by their name. You will sound knowledgeable, and be saved from the embarrassment of having the clowns laugh at YOU.
